Upgrade Classes

We have a wide range of classes for all strength and fitness abilities.

+Bootcamp

What’s the best way to start your day? Coffee? Eggs? Or getting a bit of a sweat on at our ever popular Bootcamp?! The early morning sessions are always varied, always fun and are guaranteed to wake you up the right way. Ideal for all fitness levels, our experienced trainers will put you through your paces, whilst ensuring you are trained safely and effectively using a variety of different equipment and methods to increase your strength, cardiovascular fitness and general wellbeing. 

+Strength

Our Strength class is a technique driven session, using a wide range of gym equipment to increase strength, power and muscular endurance. No experience is necessary, it is ideal for anyone wanting to gain confidence in the gym and to learn how to lift correctly. 

+Circuits

Over 4 - 10 separate stations, you will experience a challenging but rewarding full body workout. Suitable for all abilities our Circuit classes use HIIT to deliver incredible results. 

+Flex

This innovative class is split into two, using a combination of bodyweight exercises and training styles and an extended period of mobility and stretching to increase your fitness, agility and mobility. Suitable for beginners and advanced alike, everyone can benefit from this class. 

+Strongman

The Strongman class at Upgrade is challenging and not recommended for complete beginners (pre-requisite: 30kg deadlift). You will be taught strongman specific techniques and will get to use multiple pieces of equipment used in local competitions. Expect to see your strength grow from regularly attending this class! Suitable for both men and women. Should you have any queries regarding your suitability, please get in touch or speak to one of the trainers in the gym. 

+Boxing

All of our Boxing instructors are qualified either through The Ricky Hatton Academy or Boxercise and are all experienced in a variety of Martial Arts. They bring a high level of knowledge and experience to every class - teaching the fundamentals of boxing and pad work in a fun and fast way whilst also increasing your cardio fitness. 

+Kids

Showing children how fun exercise can be is hugely important to us all at Upgrade. They are our future members after all! Our Kids class is a great way to introduce children school years 6 - 11 how to use gym equipment safely and effectively while improving all aspects of their fitness. Clare has many years of experience coaching children and knows how to get the best out of them. Children leave the class feeling confident and looking forward to the next session! This is a particularly good option for children who may not engage or enjoy more traditional or competitive sports. 

+Stretch

Sundays are all about self-care, rest and relaxation, which is why we have chosen Sunday afternoon for our Stretch class. This gentle class will guide you through mobility flows and a variety of stretching techniques to improve your flexibility and mobility, along with relaxation to help you unwind and find calm in your day to day life.
